Acoustic Control System

The Wyle Automatic Control System (ACS) is a state-of-the-art, closed-loop system for acoustic test facilities.

The purpose of the ACS is to automate the spectrum-shaping process instead of relying on the operator to make those adjustments manually. This is especially important for short-duration launch spectra, since there is usually not enough time to compensate for the changes in the acoustic spectrum introduced by the test specimen in the reverberant chamber. The ACS also provides overtest protection for microphone signals and narrow-band accelerometer signals (optional).

The various settings in the ACS Window include:
  • Adjust Display Positions
  • Input Channels
  • Narrow Band Reference
  • Frequency Range for Control
  • Reference Spectrum
  • Output Filter
  • Security
  • Overall SPL
  • 1/n Octave Bands
  • APS-Lines
  • APS-OASPL
  • Out-of-Match Microphones
  • Storage
  • ACS-Status
  • Equalizer

Some of the key features of the Wyle ACS are presented in the left side navigation.
